While our robot is out, we are all still actively working on the real mechanics of the robot. We can keep back so much of the robot, that all the important mechanisms are still here and being improved. Parts are still being fabricated, as well as paperwork is being completed, logos are being designed and made for T-shirts, and you may have noticed we have uploaded five short videos of our robots highlighted features. We are rapidly preparing for the regionals in Philadelphia on March 25-27. As it all wraps up, its looking like we will have a great fully functional robot to take home the trophy. Good Luck Chuck!
Happy wednesday everyone! The team is doing great. This week we have finalized the ID badges and have a new section on the website where you can easily view our gorgeous faces at any point in the day. Special shout out to Emhart Glass for being a wonderful sponsor throughout the hardships of the economy. Recently the engineers, mentors and students got together and planned out the mock draft of the robot. We have a picture of that in the picture section of the website. Our robot is coming together nicely, but right now our main focus is building a training arena for the robot to practice in. We are all working very hard on completing this so we can finally test drive our robot in the ideal conditions. Hopefully within the next week we are doing basic test driving of the robot. The shop is busy and filled with the sounds of power tools running, sanding, cutting and drilling. We're crafting parts from our aluminum inventory and assembling robot prototypes to be tested. We're on schedule for now, let's all make sure Chuck 14 is done and ready by competition this year!
